Welcome to the PMA Educational Foundation!

The PMA Educational Foundation was established in 1996 to help develop a trained, motivated workforce by initiating and supporting training, education and image-building program with PMA members companies, educators, corporations, foundations and civic leaders across the country.

Four Ways You Can Support the PMA Educational Foundation’s Mission

Annual Partnerships -- Companies in or affiliated with the metalforming industry are invited to become Industry Partners and educational institutions serving the industry are invited to become Educational Partners for a minimum investment of $500.  Companies or districts may support a local school by sponsoring their annual partnership.  Individuals can become a Friend of the Foundation for as little as $50. View our PMA Educational Foundation Partners or find out more about becoming a partner.

Endowment Fund -- You or your company can make a gift or pledge to the Endowment Fund. These funds are invested, with investment proceeds primarily used to fund grants. More than $2 million has been donated to the endowment, and proceeds from these funds have provided most of the $1 million dollars in grants awarded by PMAEF.  A pledge of $5,000 or more by an individual or a company qualifies for exclusive Founding Member status. View our PMA Educational Foundation Founding Members.

Legacy Gifts -- Your opportunity to help sustain the Foundation and the industry for future generations by including the Foundation in your estate plan.  These bequests can be funded through wills, retirement plan assets, life insurance policies, living trusts, or charitable remainder trusts.  Bequests can be added to your estate with simple language such as "I give, devise, and bequeath to The PMA Educational Foundation, Cleveland, OH, the sum of $________, for the benefit of The PMA Educational Foundation and its general purposes.”

Direct Grant Support. -- These funds, specifically designated for direct grant support, are immediately assigned to the grant budget, either in the year they are given or in subsequent year(s) to fund worthy workforce development initiatives that meet Foundation criteria and are subject to Board approval. 100% of the donation will be used for grants.

Please note the IRA Charitable Rollover tax incentive is available for donations made between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2009.  It allows individuals aged 70½ and older to donate up to $100,000 from their Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and Roth IRAs to public charities like PMAEF without having to count the distributions as taxable income.

The PMA Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation. Investments of cash or other assets, are tax deductible, as provided by law.  Please consult your tax advisor.
